Sad.

I'm having a hard time accepting my cousin Michelle's situation. It hardly seems fair, or just, nor does it make sense. How can one of the nicest, kindest, most caring individual I know be affected by such a terrible nasty, invasive disease?? Why her? Why anything? Why not a rapist or a serial killer? It just makes me sick. I try to reason with myself and say thing just happen sometimes for no reason, but this time, I really crave a logical reason...why her?

I'm trying not to be a Debbie Downer, but in lieu of the situation, it's hard not to be. Sorry everyone. Thanks for listening.

Christmas, Snow, & Makeover

Well, Christmas was good. Bob had to work night shift that night but he was able to stay awake long enough to open presents with the boys that morning. After we were done with that, Bob went to bed and the boys & I (and Christy) headed to Cameron, MO for a family gathering! It was awesome and we had a great time! We headed down to KC, MO to hang out with my brother and his family for the night...the cousins LOVE to play together! FUN MEMORIES!!!

The next day I took the boys down to my parents house for a couple of days to visit. I left the boys with my parents for an overnight while I was to head to Emporia to meet up with some friends...I ended up detouring to my house as I was not feeling well and then ended up in the ER due to severe back pain, nausea, & vomitting...blah. It was not fun, I was thankful the boys weren't with me as Bob was at work and I had to take myself...so if the boys would have been here, they would have had to go with me. That would have been most unpleasant! *thank you mom, dad & Christy!!!* Here is me and my IV...it administered a bag of fluids, pain meds, & nausea meds....ahhhhh!
Unfortunately, the rest of the family got a version of this "bug"...and I mean EVERYONE...including Decovin, Camden, Bob, my mom, my dad, my niece, my brother, and my sister! Ugh!
The snow finally came to Decovin's delight! He woke up that morning and exclaimed: "IT SNOWED?? WE CAN GO SLEDDING?? I KNEW IT WOULD SNOW!!!" It was really cute. So after he was out of school, we spent a good 45 minutes outside! They came in for a quick lunch break and daddy came home from work early to take them sledding!!

Camden didn't much care for the sledding once he bit it and his face hit the snow...it was TOO COLD for him! :-( But he still managed to make a few snow angels! :-)

We also just started the makeover process on our Master Bedroom...we are doing the same thing we did to the boys' bedroom and playroom but this time we aren't in a hurry...we are taking our time and just doing a little each day. Slow but sure...it will be done sometime this year! LOL!

We are getting ready to celebrate Decovin's 5th bday and Camden's 3rd bday! Where did the time go?! They are getting so big! So hard to believe some days! We are throwing them a joint bday party and having it at our local library. It was a cheap room to rent and worth it to not have 30+ people in our house all at once! GAH! Should be fairly interesting. Pics to follow! :-)

That's all for now. Love to you all!
