Doctor Visit...

Went to the doc's office today and found out that Camden is sitting breech...*sigh*...she said not to worry yet and to go home and sit with my butt in the air for at least 5 minutes a day to help him move out of my pelvic region and move around!

Oh dear, if I have to have a C-section, I don't know what I will do! OUCH!

Keep me in your thoughts and hope that he turns around in time for a seamless delivery!

Oh and Decovin has been running a fever off and on for the past 30 hours or so and he can't seem to shake it...we will give him Tylenol and it will go down for 8 hours or so but then keeps coming back...he acts lethargic during the high part of his temp and then back to normal when it is down...he is still eating and drinking too...so maybe it is just more teeth coming in??? Who knows...

He still has time to straighten up and come out right!

i think it's funny that your doctor said to sit with your butt in the air. i thought you fired your midwife... ;-) sorry, that was inappropriate. also, breech doesn't mean his feet are the lowest (though it CAN mean that) it's most likely that his butt is lowest, so who knows which part is kicking at your bladder! :-)

in regards to decovin's fever... how high are we talking? if he's fine in between spikes, i'd call it a viral illness and tell you to keep on with the tylenol as he needs it. if the tylenol doesn't break the fever or make him act more normal... i'd take him to his doctor. :-)

So if sitting with my butt in the air is stupid...what do you suggest? That was coming from my doctor btw...I did fire the midwives...

I haven't checked the actual temperature since Sunday when it was 100.6 but the Tylenol breaks it and he acts just fine...and he pretty much acts normal just sleeps more...

I think the doctor is just giving you something to do to stop your worries. I have never heard of butt in the air except for gas release. lol

Who knows maybe there is something to it and why not try. Is the baby bigger.

Funny you should say something about c-section. My doctor that is about to perform the A & P repair said that all my troubles were from vaginal births. Because of the tears and stuff that happens in the delivery room and pushing. Hummmm. Maybe a c-section is not so bad after all. I guess it was not even an option in my day or else they just decided that I was a tough old farm girl and can woop out them babies. Don't know for sure.

I agree with your mom that you still have time to get the baby in position. Sometimes they turn the last minute (so I have heard).

as far as i knew, there was nothing you could "do" to make him move. if your doctor told you to sit butt-up, i'd say do it. it just sounds weird to me. like an "old wives tale" if you will...

and yes, it's true that poppin' kids outta there the natural way stretches out all your pelvic floor muscles that are supposed to hold things "UP"... it's why women who have had babies have to pee more often than women who don't, or so i've heard.

I guess I am dense. What do you mean "check in" online? for what? Are you talking to Jen? or me? Is that a code? love you back.

P.S. Today I had my pap smear and bloodwork etc. There was a question of if I wanted an intern to watch. I was like "no but I know it is important cause my niece just went through it. So I had an observer. He won't know me unless I am undressed and the booty showing. lol!!!

"Check in" is referring to a text I sent Amanda the day before our trip to Clearwater Beach, FL. I used quotation marks in my text to let her know that we could check in online so as to not have to rush to the airport...not knowing if she had heard of this before or not...of course she had and she mocked me the rest of the trip...it was fun using air quotation marks for a week straight! LOL!

Jen, I have been meaning to tell you that we love your Christmas Card. Little Santa looks like he had a hard day! Love the pacifier. It was just the right touch. Thank you for thinking of it and making it. Love you guys.
