Well Stacy nailed it on the head! Camden has duel ear infections and is now on antibiotics and something else to help break up his congestion, etc. He seems to be doing ok...like I said, acting pretty normal other than random one night of inconsolableness and runny nose/coughing...so who would have thought...thanks Stace!
I don't know if Decovin has it or not, it was too late to get an appointment for him on Friday after I found out C had an infection in both ears...so if he is still snotty on Monday I will call and get an appointment for him at that time. Otherwise he is acting normal (aside from snotty nose, no coughing at this time).
We are also progressing on potty training...well, we are trying anyway. We started 3 days ago and he has his moments where he will go pee no questions asked and then there are times when he fights it tooth and nail! We are taking it slow and have moved him into pull-ups strictly. Cross your fingers for us that he will be fully trained by next August!! Oy!
On a fun note, Christy came up for the weekend and we decided it would be fun for Decovin to bake cookies with us...so I got it all set up and he helped me like a big boy! He followed instructions really well and only spilled a little flour! He was AWESOME! And he was so excited to participate!
Here he is getting ready to mix everything up!
Here we are with our finished product!

Oh my goodness, poor baby! Darn, I kind of hate that I was right about that. Hope he gets better soon.
Too fun with cookie time. Those cappucino ones look bigger than his head. :)
Good job Decovin! Hope Camden is feeling better. Also hope Decovin doesn't have the ear infection stuff.
Bring on the coffee cookies!! Were they good?? I have gone completely nuts for that kind of stuff.
Looks like fun too.
They were SOOOOOO good...sinfully good! It was like at first I didn't think I would like them but now I am addicted...they grew on me!
OK you must share the recipe. I know I can't do it for a while but you know that I WILL when I can!!!
Ingred:
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 Tbl. instant coffee granules
1 tsp. warm water
1 egg
2 squares (1 oz. ea.) unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. semisweet chocolate chips
3 Tbl. shortening
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugars. Dissolve coffee in water; add to creamed mixture with egg and melted chocolate. Mix well. Combine flour, cinnamon and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture (dough will be STICKY). Shape into two 6 1/2-in. rolls; wrap each in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until firm.
2. Unwrap and cut into 1/4-in. slices. Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until firm. Remove to wire racks to cool. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips and shortening. Dip each cookie halfway; shake off excess. Place on waxed paper to harden. YIELD: about 4 1/2 dozen.
Tre Bien!!
Jen, I'm so sorry that the ear infection problem has settled on your house, too! We got Graham in to see the doctor, and he's on antibiotics now. She said she anticipates that his other eardrum will burst at some point today/tonight, too--she was surprised it hadn't yet. I guess it was pretty bulge-y. NO FUN!!!! These poor little guys of ours, huh?!?! I wish I lived closer, we could "stay in" together. :-)
