Sad.
I'm trying not to be a Debbie Downer, but in lieu of the situation, it's hard not to be. Sorry everyone. Thanks for listening.

Christmas, Snow, & Makeover

Camden didn't much care for the sledding once he bit it and his face hit the snow...it was TOO COLD for him! :-( But he still managed to make a few snow angels! :-)
We also just started the makeover process on our Master Bedroom...we are doing the same thing we did to the boys' bedroom and playroom but this time we aren't in a hurry...we are taking our time and just doing a little each day. Slow but sure...it will be done sometime this year! LOL!
We are getting ready to celebrate Decovin's 5th bday and Camden's 3rd bday! Where did the time go?! They are getting so big! So hard to believe some days! We are throwing them a joint bday party and having it at our local library. It was a cheap room to rent and worth it to not have 30+ people in our house all at once! GAH! Should be fairly interesting. Pics to follow! :-)
That's all for now. Love to you all!

Tis the Season!!!
My ornery little guys!!!
Our attempt at a family Christmas portrait:
Happy Holidays everyone!! This is my most favorite time of year!! Though I don't always enjoy the constant state of being busy, I do enjoy the get togethers, the giving, the decorations, my kids' faces when they see christmas lights, pretty white snow, christmas trees, THE FOOD!!!Sunday, November 21, 2010
Lots has happened in a week!
Day one: Several wet undies later and we never went in the toilet...oh well.
Day two: WE MADE IT IN THE TOILET!!! TWICE!!! But, we still wet a few pairs of undies.
Day three: We let him pick out his own underwear at the store...Buzz & Woody no less! :-)
Day four: Only a couple of accidents and several hits in the toilet but took him to my in-laws and he only went once for them and peed 3 times in his pants...
Day five:WHERE DID MY BABY GO?!?! Aside from waking up wet (haven't convinced him to go to the bathroom immediately after waking up yet), he has not only gone in the toilet 5+ times today...he has done them ALL BY HIMSELF!!! Literally! It's like it just clicked! WHOO HOO! I hope he keeps up this momentum. He did also attempt to poo in the potty but he quit soon after a quick toot and then pulled his pants up and pooped in them instead (luckily I had him in a pull-up for easy clean-up!) Phew!!
THREE CHEERS FOR CAMDEN! HIP HIP HOORAY! HIP HIP HOORAY! HIP HIP HOORAY!
Friday I dropped the boys off with my mother-in-law and then I met up with Christy & our friend Melissa to see Harry Potter!! It was awesome!
Immediately following the movie I headed out in rush hour traffic to go to Cameron, MO to see my cousin, Amanda and her hubby. Derek adapted an 80's TV show for the stage and his high schoolers put it on. It was a cute show and I got to meet two of the original cast members from the series. :-)
Got up early the next morning and hung out with Amanda and Derek until it was time for me to head down to get my boys and then head home. That night I joined my neighbors to the Burlington High School play, "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown"...I took Decovin with me but left Camden with a babysitter. It was D's first live show. He did pretty good...only got a little antsy during 2nd half. :-)
Currently have been feeling a bit under the weather and hoping it has run its course and subsides.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!! See you all soon!!

No fun days.
Saturday the boys both woke up with nasty coughs but no other symptoms. This morning, however, Decovin started throwing up. This makes for a no fun day for sure. Poor thing. Hoping he starts feeling better soon. So far, knock on wood, we have no fever. *crossing fingers* this is a 24 hour bug and he will be fine.
A request: Positive thoughts &/or prayers for my cousin Michelle.

It's November?! Wha?!?!
Halloween has come and gone and we have the candy to prove it!! Man, I was excited to get the candy out of the house so I would stop nibbling on it...but as soon as we emptied our bowls to the last trick-or-treaters of the night, we unloaded the boys' stash and it filled right back up!! Ugh! The funny part is we took them to a community Halloween Party in New Strawn and they got their buckets filled up in a matter of 45 minutes!! So we hit Decovin's teacher's house and then headed home to pass out candy...Decovin and Camden were satisfied with what they got they actually BEGGED to stay home and help Aunt Christy pass out candy! So that's what we did! It was AWESOME!Tuesday, October 26, 2010
Pumpkin Patch, 5K, Pumpkin Carving
Here are the boys (holding hands) while Decovin guides us through the maze!
Unfortunately, it started POURING the SECOND we finished the corn maze and we hoofed it back to the cider mill to pick out our pumpkin up there instead of in the actual patch...oh well, they had fun despite the rain...We picked up some cider donuts and apple cider slushes and headed out! Broken bone #1
When he didn't jump right back into playing with daddy I knew something might be wrong but I didn't want to over react (like I tend to do), so we let him use an ice pack and I gave him some motrin and put him to bed that night...
